A wonderful serenity has taken possession of my entire soul, like these sweet mornings of spring which I enjoy with my whole heart. I am alone, and feel the charm of existence in this spot, which was created for the bliss of souls like mine. I am so happy, my dear friend, so absorbed in the exquisite sense of mere tranquil existence, that I neglect my talents.
Arrival to Marrakesh. Meet your professional English speaking guide and driver. Transfert to the hotel or riad.
In the evening be prepared to be picked up to go for a very nice evening tour at the famous square, Jama El Fna. Street performers, musicians and acrobats always perform there. You will have dinner in a restaurant nearby. After dinner head back home.
Today is check-out and is the exploration of Marrakesh. Start by enjoying the beauty of Majorelle garden and its Berber museum of silver jewrlery. The garden was created by the French artist Jacques Majorelle on 1923. It’s now a property of Yves Saint Laurent foundation. Continue by seeing the exterior of Koutoubia mosque, 1147.Continue to the kasbah quarter to enjoy the architecture of the 16th century neckropolis Saadian tombs. Then walk to the most beautiful palace in Morocco, Bahia. An exemplary specimen of privileged life in the 19th century. Finish the tour at the famous square. To see snake charmers. And have lunch in a restaurant nearby. After lunch is a drive to the valley of Imlil. A Berber area. 1 hour drive. Berbers are the natives of Morocco. Some of them live on the mountains. They are farmers. They are very friendly people, who don’t mind hosting tourists in their villages and homes. There you meet your mountain guide to take you to the Berber house,for dinner and overnight.
After breakfast your mountain guide will take you for a 2-hour-hike on the mountains, and down the valley. You will have lunch in another Berber house. Another host. After that walk back home to refresh and relax.
In the evening you will go for dinner at Sir Richard Branson’s Kasbah Tamadot. Branson, Virgin Airlines owner, purchased that property and converted into a luxury hotel on 1998.
Go back home after dinner.
After breakfast your mountain guide will take you lo live a very nice experience. The farm life. In the fields you will see Berber women cutting grass for their animals, and picking some vegetables for their meals. You will see Berber men using old irrigation channels to water their fields and trees. You can also go to see the animals Berbers keep indoors. Pregnant cows and rabbits.
Go back home then for lunch and rest.
In the evening your mountain guide will be available if you want to have another nice stroll in the village. Dinner and overnight in the same house.
After breakfast your original guide and van driver will take you back to Marrakesh to explore the city’s fabled, labyrinthine souks, their bustling alleyways brimming with all manner of wares. Then go to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Departure. Your driver will take you to the airport, to meet the fast-track clerk for an easy check-in.
